Ayman Zohry, Ph.D.

Founder of DWB

The idea of founding an e-mail group for demographers was born in my mind may years ago. While studying demography as a post graduate student at Cairo Demographic Center (started in January 1992) I realized that demographers should rely on communication technology in networking worldwide. In 1999 I founded this e-mail group to get benefit of information technology for demographers to communicate and share their ideas with colleagues freely.

Demographers Without Borders (DWB) e-group is an international network of demographers working together to close the global divide and strengthen the links between south and north. This group is a discussion group for professional demographers in the developing and developed countries to exchange ideas and resources.
